Top 5 performances of Hrithik Roshan


Known as the Greek God of the Indian film industry, Hrithik Roshan, who stormed the bastion of Bollywood biggies 13 years ago with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, has come a long way. Right from his first movie, Hrithik was hailed as a complete package; charismatic persona, screen presence, great looks, unbelievable dancing skills and to top it all a fantastic actor. The fans of Hrithik Roshan are in for a treat as he is working on 3 potential blockbusters: ‘Krrish 3’ with his dad, ‘Bang Bang’, a remake of Tom Cruise’s Knight and Day, opposite Katrina and ‘Paani’ with Shekhar Kapoor. He has given some memorable performances over the years and it is very difficult to pick the top 5. So here is our list of Hrithik’s 5 best performances:

1.) Koi... Mil Gaya (2003): Unquestionably the best science fiction movie to ever come out of Bollywood, Koi Mil Gaya is roughly along the same lines as ET yet is still unique and memorable with every viewing. At the absolute lowest point in his career, in one of the most difficult roles, Hrithik Roshan delivered his career best performance as Rohit.  Hrithik Roshan's impeccable acting as a mentally challenged adult provided the knockout punch needed to bag the Filmfare award for Best Actor as well as secure for the film the Filmfare Award for Best Movie in 2003.

2.) Dhoom 2 (2006): Aditya Chopra realized the true potential of Hrithik Roshan and presented him in the most stylish role of his career.  Complete with high-tech gadgets, death-defying stunts and catchy, chart-busting hits,Dhoom 2 took action to an unprecedented and pleasantly surprising level in a Bollywood movie. Hrithik Roshan delivers one of his best performances and bagged his third filmfare award for the movie.

3.) Agneepath (2012): Hrithik Roshan’s powerful and sensitive performance as an underdog was the main highlight of Agneepath. His extraordinary and revenge filled role lifted the movie to another level. Hrithik’s successfully essayed one of the most popular characters of Indian cinema – Vijay Dinanath Chauhan.

4.) Jodhaa Akbar (2008):  Playing the role of Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, Hrithik looked every bit of the royal emperor and mastered the Mughal language perfectly. It is one of the rare historical which became commercially successful despite of having limited release in few circuits. He shared an excellent chemistry with Aishwarya Rai and won the Filmfare award for this role.

5.) Lakshya (2004): This Farhan Akhtar classic failed to make much impact at the box-office but became a cult movie afterwards. As Karan Shergill, Hrithik is brilliantly under-stated and then comes the inspiring transformation and he aces that too.

Some of the other outstanding performances of Hrithik are Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Guzarish, Krrish and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
